Before becoming an instructional designer, I acquired 8+ years of experience and a host of transferable skills that qualify me for the instructional design profession. Now, through my experience as a veteran teacher and graduate studies, I have acquired the experience and certification necessary to demonstrate mastery of instructional design skills. Below are a few detailed skills:
- Knowledge of the foundation in ID theories, methodologies, and practices, including the ADDIE model, adult learning principles, multimedia principles, and custom blended learning solutions
- Over eight years of summative and formative evaluation experience with solid analytical skills to assess, determine and develop recommendations to improve learning and the learners' experience
- Successfully developed and managed large-scale education and training projects resulting in the delivery of projects in a timely and cost-effective manner with the agreed quality parameters
- Educational technology expertise and proficiency in multimedia production with an emphasis on designing and producing instructional videos, adaptive e-learning, instructor and learner material, and educational games
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and autonomously
